Near Deoksungsan areas, 1000-year-old temple Sudeoksa, Goryeo’s wooden building exists, while Namyeongun-myo(tomb), a natural monument appointed by Chungcheongnamdo, occupies the areas of Gayasan. Involving Siryang-ri, Sacheon-ri, Dun-ru, Sangga-ri, Gwangcheon-ri of Yesan-gun’s Deoksan-myeon, Deoksan State Park was designated as a state park in 1973. Since located in a landlocked mountain and divided into two districts, it has its own unique and independent characteristics with its excellent natural scenery. Also, located in the central region of the nation, it offers traffic convenience with easily connected to nearby travel resources and tourist attractions to attract many visitors.

Area Description

  • Deoksungsan Area: Sudeoksa, Hwahuidae, Gyeonseongam, Geumgangam, Jeonghyesa(temple), Sorimchodang, Mangongtap, Iljumun, Yeoseungdang, and etc.
  • Gayasan Area: Gayasaji, Okgye Reservoir, Namyeongun-myo(tomb), Sanghwangsaji, Bodeoksa, Swiheun-gil Bawi(rock), Okyang Pokpo(falls), Geobuk Bawi(turtle rock), Goryeo Jagi(ceramics) Myoji(grave site)
